The St. Louis VA Medical Center announces the availability of a Post-doctoral Residency in Neuropsychology. This residency is a part of a strong psychology training program including post-doctoral residency positions in Primary Care Psychology, PTSD, and Recovery (SMI population) Services, as well as an APA-Accredited Internship Training Program.
St. Louis VAMC Psychology Training program has a longstanding commitment to providing a collegial and supportive training atmosphere. We will have one neuropsychology residency position open for the two year training period beginning September 4, 2012.
The Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Residency program will provide a two year training program in accordance with the stipulations of the Houston Conference on Specialty Education and Training in Clinical Neuropsychology. The Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Residency program will provide the necessary training and preparation for residents to be eligible for ABPP Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology and to practice as specialty-trained clinical neuropsychologists. Residents will participate in a major rotation in comprehensive outpatient neuropsychological evaluation with a minor rotation in inpatient and outpatient neurorehabilitation. This residency is a two year full time appointment (with the second year contingent on satisfactory completion of the first year).
APPLICATION DUE DATE: December 16, 2011. For the 2012-2014 Training Cycle, we will fill the open residency position as an APPCN Match participant. Interviews will be conducted either on-site or by telephone.
The St. Louis VAMC will be participating in the 2012 APPCN Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Match and will abide by guidelines set forth by APPCN regarding neuropsychology Match procedures. This neuropsychology residency site agrees to abide by the APPCN policy that no person at this facility will solicit, accept, or use any ranking-related information from any residency applicant. You may find information regarding the APPCN Match at www.appcn.org.
