ASPIRE Center for Learning and Development, Melville, NY, Long Island: ASPIRE Center invites applications for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship beginning between July 2012 and September 2012. Professional activities include participating as a member of a dynamic multidisciplinary diagnostic evaluation team, conducting psychological, adaptive, and behavioral assessments, providing individual and group cognitive behavioral therapy for youth, adolescents, and young adults, providing parent training and consultations, co-leading community-based outings, consulting to schools, and offering community-based workshops and trainings. Fellows receive advanced clinical training and supervision towards licensure in evidenced based assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum and related disorders in the context of a multidisciplinary clinic serving clients and their families. License eligibility is expected after 1 year. Strong emphasis is placed on development of fellow's skills in assessment, treatment, consultation and supervision.

Postdoctoral fellows assume a variety of administrative and program development responsibilities, and have the opportunity to supervise graduate trainees in psychology and mental health counseling. A rich didactic seminar program is an important part of the fellowship. Opportunities may also exist for conducting applied research, and presenting at conferences. Specific activities will be determined with the fellow to match his/her career goals. ASPIRE Center for Learning and Development is a privately-owned clinic in Melville, NY with licensed psychologists, social workers, special educators, and speech-language pathologists. ASPIRE is an outpatient assessment, treatment, consultation, and training program that provides state-of-the-art, evidence-based clinical services to individuals from infancy through adulthood.
