John D. Dingell Medical Center, Detroit, MI, USA - 1 Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology

POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY: Emphasis on Addictions The John D. Dingell Medical Center located in Detroit, Michigan is currently accepting applications for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology with an emphasis on addiction psychology. The Fellowship is dedicated to training psychologists to better serve and conduct research with people who have various substance addictions. Fellows will be exposed to several forms of treatment, assessment and research involving patients with addiction. Addiction services at this medical center are offered in Mental Health Service and Primary Care outpatient clinics. Fellows will have an opportunity to rotate through those clinics as well as the ability to elect specialty tracks such as addiction and chronic pain and addiction and PTSD. The medical center seeks to foster research and provides a strong interdisciplinary environment that allows for seamless collaboration between disciplines and facilities.

The Fellowship will begin around September 1, 2012, and the current stipend is $45,913. Applicants must be US Citizens, and have completed an APA Accredited graduate program in clinical or counseling psychology, and an APA accredited internship by 9-1-12. The Postdoctoral Fellowship program at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center is open to all qualified applicants regardless of race, gender, age, religion, or national origin.
