Alliance Pediatrics, Gaithersburg, MD, behavioral psychology resident position

Alliance Pediatrics is a private behavioral psychology practice located in the suburbs outside of Washington, D.C.  Our primary goal is to provide high quality, evidence-based treatments to our clients. We serve children, adolescents, caregivers, related service professionals (occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, psychologists, etc), therapists seeking professional development (BCBA certification, psychology licensure) and school staff.

Our services include individual therapy, family therapy, caregiver training, staff consultations, school trainings, assessment, social skills groups, and supervision for home-based verbal behavior programs.

We are seeking a psychologist or psychological resident to work under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Applicant should have a background in the treatment of children and adolescents utilizing behavioral interventions, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy or other evidence-based treatments. BCBA preferred. The clinician will be responsible for the provision of psychological and behavioral services including the assessment of problem behaviors, development and implementation of psychological and behavioral treatment plans and consultation with interdisciplinary service providers as needed. Services are primarily provided in the office, however at times home, school, and community visits are necessary. The clinician will participate in regular team meetings with staff psychologists. Psychology residents seeking licensure will be supervised according to board standards.

The clinician will typically work between the hours of 9am and 6pm Monday through Friday. However, the schedule is flexible to meet the needs of the psychologist or psychology resident. The total hours available range from part-time to full-time. All direct and indirect services (phone consultations with clients, document preparation, travel, etc.) are compensated.  Benefits include bonuses and retirement plan.
