The fellowship program provides supervision in individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, clinical supervision, social justice advocacy, and counseling center administration. Members of the professional staff represent various theoretical orientations and provide numerous opportunities for supervision. Fellows receive a minimum of 2 hours of individual supervision and 2 hours of group supervision weekly as well as participate in specialized training seminars, which complement the fellow’s clinical experience. Fellows are highly valued members of the professional staff and participate in the operational and staff development activities of the Center.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants be open learners and must have successfully completed an accredited counseling center doctoral internship by August 20, 2012. Candidate’s dissertation must be successfully defended by August 1, 2012.
The Staff and University: The University of New Hampshire was founded in 1866 as a land-grant institution, has an enrollment of approximately 11,000 undergraduates and 2,000 graduate students. Nine licensed psychologists, three post-doctoral fellows and three doctoral interns staff the Counseling Center. The Center is accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services, Inc. (IACS) and is a member of the Association of Psychology Internship Centers (APPIC) at the doctoral level. Our Doctoral Internship Program is fully accredited by the American Psychological Association. Salary and Benefits: The fellowship is a full-time, twelve-month position beginning August 20, 2012 with a minimum stipend of $28,560. Fellows receive professional liability insurance and health insurance. Fellows receive a staff identification card giving them access to the University library and cultural events and the opportunity to purchase a parking sticker and a recreation pass.
