Our office has an opening for a postdoc. We are a private practice, approximately 20 minutes from downtown Oklahoma City. The practice is an excellent site with diverse professionals (I completed my postdoctoral residency here and remained after I became licensed two years ago). We have three psychologists and two licensed counselors. Our psychologists have interests in forensic psychology, health psychology, and disaster response. Postdocs are encouraged to develop a "niche" and marketing and support is available as the budget allows. As a postdoc, you will be seeing primarily children and adolescents, but may also see some adults for counseling, testing, and groups. You will receive extensive experience in cognitive assessment and clinical interviewing with both children and adults. You may also assist Dr. Poyner with her forensic testing/consultation cases.
As a postdoc, you will have a private office with computer and phone, receptionist support for scheduling and billing, access to many testing materials and scoring programs, and free supervision. We have an open-door policy and you are welcome to consult with any of the psychologists when needed.
To meet board requirements, you must come from an APA-accredited doctoral program with an APA or APPIC-accredited internship. Your dissertation/CRP must be completed and defended. You will likely have to obtain board approval before you can officially start.
If you are interested, email your CV and a letter of interest to Dr. Poyner at drpoyner@sbcglobal.net Questions regarding salary must be addressed with Dr. Poyner. If you have any questions about my experience or the licensure requirements/process in Oklahoma, feel free to backchannel me at cgrepanshek@gmail.com
