Salud Family Health Centers, Frederick, CO, USA -5 residency positions

Salud Family Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with nine clinics dedicated to providing primary health services to all the residents of a defined catchment area, covering 6 counties in north-central Colorado. The Salud system follows an integrated model of care that aims to ensure high quality medical, dental, and behavioral health services to traditionally underserved populations, thus reducing barriers to care.

The residency is a one-year, full-time position in integrated primary care psychology. We will accept 5 residents, 3 of which are funded by the Colorado Health Foundation. The specific clinic placement of each resident will be based on clinic need and resident preference. The resident will function as an integral part of the behavioral health team, consisting of psychologists, social workers, counselors, postdocs, and graduate-level trainees. Primary job duties will include conducting mental health screenings and diagnostic evaluations, providing consultation services and brief interventions as requested by primary care providers, and providing individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy consistent with the resident’s experience and specific interests. In addition, the resident will conduct psychological assessments as requested by the treating team, including cognitive and personality. The resident will provide supervision, under supervision of a licensed psychologist, to graduate practicum students (as available). There will be various opportunities for teaching, research, and learning about and becoming involved in management and administration as they arise and are consistent with the resident’s interest.
