The Department of Psychiatry of the School of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), at San Francisco General Hospital, has openings for paid Post-doctoral Fellowships in the Child and Adolescent Services (CAS) Multicultural Clinical Training Program beginning September 1, 2012. CAS is seeking excellent applicants from APA-accredited Doctoral Clinical Psychology Programs, with a focus on child and family work. Experience with and a strong interest in working in a community mental health setting w/ low income and diverse populations required. Spanish-speaking highly desirable. Fellows will receive intensive training and supervision in all as pects of their duties and responsibilities. Training focuses on the impact of chronic trauma on children and addressing the needs of these children effectively. Living in a Non-Violent Community (LINC) LINC strives to break the cycle of violence by integrating services and resources for children, youth, and their families that have experienced domestic violence.

Post-doctoral fellow provides clinical assessments, and individual, family, or group therapy for children and youth. Fellow is also responsible for delivering training/presentations for community agencies and medical providers throughout the year. Healthy Environments And Response to Trauma in Schools (UCSF HEARTS) Project HEARTS is a comprehensive, multi-level school-based prevention/intervention program to create trauma-sensitive school environments. Postdoctoral Fellows will work within San Francisco Unified School District schools. Responsibilities include on-site assessment, individual, family, and group psychotherapy, and consultation, support, and training for teachers, & school staff. Fellows will also participate in program evaluation activities. CAS is participating in the Post-doc Uniform Notification Date of March 14th.
