The Audrey Hepburn Children’s House, Hackensack, New Jersey, USA - Two Post-Doctoral Clinical Forensic Psychology Fellowship

As a result of new funding, applications are currently being accepted for four positions: two positions for March 1st 2012 and two positions for September 1st, 2012.

A Post-Doctoral Clinical Forensic Psychology Fellowship in Child Maltreatment is available for a start date of September 1, 2012 at The Audrey Hepburn Children’s House (AHCH) at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC). The Children’s House is designated as a Regional Child Abuse and Diagnostic Center by the State of New Jersey.

The program resides in the Department of Pediatrics. The position affords the opportunity to conduct forensic psychological assessments, foster care screenings, individual and group therapy and therapeutic visitation within the family court with either victims of child maltreatment or parents or other caregivers responsible for their care. The fellow will also be responsible for identifying, designing and studying a research question of mutual interest to The Children’s House under the supervision of a principal investigator. The Fellows will also be enrolled in a certificate program in clinical forensic psychology at Montclair State University. Tuition will be paid by Hackensack University Medical Center. Fellows will receive supervision to meet eligibility requirements for admission to the EPPP and licensure.

The Department of Pediatrics at Hackensack University Medical Center and The Audrey Hepburn Children’s House are in the forefront of pediatric care given to child maltreatment victims. The Center provides direct service and consultation to the Division of Youth and Family Services, the Office of the Attorney General, local Prosecutors’ Offices, the Juvenile and Family Courts and other referred families within the northern six (6) counties [Bergen, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and Warren] in New Jersey.
