Dr. Smasal is offering a post-doctoral psychology internship(s) to qualified individuals who are seeking licensure in the State of Oklahoma. Post-doctoral interns work under the direct supervision of Dr. Smasal in a multi-disciplinary setting that serves children, adolescents, and adults. Much of the interns' duties include providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents insured by Medicaid. The post-doctoral interns are also expected to conduct psychological assessments including those for developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, disruptive behavior disorders, and other psychological disorders. Opportunities to work with adults include conducting psychological testing for the Oklahoma Disability Determination Division, conducting compensation and pension evaluations for the Veteran's Administration, providing psychotherapy to self-pay adults, and providing behavior management skills and training to parents. Didactics, shadowing other professionals, opportunities to develop psycho-educational and therapy groups, and opportunities to provide academic and community based lectures are also available to the postdoctoral interns.
