The Division of Genetics and Developmental Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina announces a two-year full-time postdoctoral fellowship in psychology to start in the 2012-2013 academic year. The fellowship is part of the SC LEND (South Carolina Leadership Education in Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) program.
The fellow will be responsible for completing diagnostic evaluations for two autism research studies (one clinical trial, and one epidemiological study). Opportunities for research development in autism are extensive. The fellow will be also gain experience in more general clinical evaluations with children ranging in age from 15 months to 18 years (including neuropsychological evaluations for appropriately prepared candidates). The fellow will also complete the SC LEND fellowship program, which includes didactic course work, a leadership project, and other leadership training experience in autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental disabilities.
Annual stipend is $38,496 plus benefits. Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral candidate in psychology, including successful completion of an APA-approved internship. Applicants must have previous pediatric assessment experience; previous experience in autism and neuropsychology desirable. Start date: August 1, 2012 (flexible).
