Group Private Practice, Chicago, IL, USA - 1 postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology

Group Private Practice: Sue H. Bae, Ph.D., P.C. and Associates

Position Description: Downtown Chicago Group Private Practice offers a half-time postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology.

This is a supervised, 12-month position that has the potential to become a full time position. Starting date of the position is March 1, 2012; however, it may be negotiable depending on the circumstances. Competitive salary is offered which will commensurate with qualifications and experience. Postdoc will provide individual, couple, and group psychotherapy working with both children and adults. Training opportunities include outreach and consultation and evidence based treatment training on anxiety related disorders including OCD, GAD, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety, Trichotillomania, PTSD, Phobias, Separation Anxiety, and Body Dysmorphic Disorder. Postdoc will also have the opportunity to receive training in play therapy and techniques of Theraplay® by a registered play therapist. Additionally, training in psychological testing and assessment and early childhood/attachment will also be available. Postdoctoral fellow will receive weekly individual supervision by experienced licensed clinical psychologists.

Applicants must be eligible to sit for licensure by the end of postdoctoral training.

Desired Qualifications: A successful candidate must demonstrate strong interest in and experience with diverse clients, ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team, and have some experience with cognitive behavioral therapy.  He or she must also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong planning and organizational skills.
