Three full-time postdoctoral fellowship positions are available through the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. One Post-Doctoral Fellow will be primarily involved in providing Parent-Child Interaction Therapy services to families and conducting PCIT-related research. The other two Post-Doctoral Fellows will be dedicated to: 1) providing Parent-Child Interaction Therapy services to families and conducting related research (50%) and 2) conducting psychoeducational evaluations and pediatric outpatient therapy (50%). Responsibilities include project coordination, evidence-based evaluation, treatment planning and implementation, and research staff supervision.
Qualifications for this position include completion of an APA-approved internship in child clinical or pediatric psychology. Preference for these positions will be given to qualified individuals with an APA-approved Ph.D. (ABDs will be considered) and to qualified individuals who have a strong clinical training background in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), psychoeducational evaluation, and/or pediatric outpatient therapy (e.g., behavioral parent training, cognitive behavioral therapy). Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English), but not required.
The expected start date for these positions will be August 1, 2011, but the start date is negotiable. The postdoctoral fellowship program includes didactic seminars focusing on clinical aspects of chronic health conditions and psychiatric disorders, research methodology, grant writing, cultural issues, professional issues and ethics. Salary is commensurate with educational level and experience (e.g., $38,496 for a first-year postdoctoral fellow). To be considered for the position, please submit materials by June 17, 2011.
