Job Description: The Post-Doctoral Psychology Resident builds competence toward independent practice of psychology by delivering quality psychological services under supervision of the HSPP to patients across the lifespan via psychological assessment, individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, and integrated primary care and consultation. The Post-Doctoral Psychology resident develops and implements clinical research projects that relate to advancing patient care at DFMR. This 12-month position may be renewed for an additional 12-month cycle. Consistently performs in a manner that exemplifies Deaconess standards for customer relations and patient satisfaction.
Job Qualifications: A doctoral degree (Ph.D./Psy.D.) from an APA-Accredited program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology. Successful completion of an APA-accredited or APPIC-member internship.
Dedicated interest in primary care psychology/integrated behavioral medicine. Experience and formal coursework in psychotherapy with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and in the administration, scoring and interpretation of intellectual, educational and objective/projective personality testing of children and/or adults. Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills and strong clinical skills in diagnosis, assessment, and therapy.
