The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY, USA - 1 Rehabilitation research fellowship

The Brain Injury Research Center, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine invites applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Rehabilitation Research and Clinical Neuropsychology. The fellowship combines advanced training in rehabilitation research with clinical experience within a rehabilitation setting. Approximately 80% of the time involves (a) participation in ongoing clinical research programs within the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine funded by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) and (b) development and implementation of independent research projects under the mentorship of the program faculty.

Current research protocols focus on secondary and tertiary prevention, neuropsychological and functional assessments and clinical rehabilitation interventions. A minimum of 20% of the time involves direct clinical service delivery in an outpatient setting, including neuropsychological evaluation, cognitive remediation, psychotherapy (individual or group) and functional rehabilitation interventions with individuals with brain injuries and other neurocognitive disorders. In addition, fellows participate in a variety of clinical and research didactics offered within both the Department and the Medical Center.
