Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC - Clinical associate postdoctoral position in clinical psychology

Duke University Medical Center's Cognitive Behavioral Research and Treatment Program is offering a clinical associate postdoctoral position in clinical psychology.

The postdoctoral position is a full-time position. Clinical Associates are expected to work 40-hours per week and will get at least 2 hours of supervision per week by a licensed psychologist. The Clinical Associate will learn to use empirically supported treatments in a fluid and dynamic manner to treat a wide variety of primarily Axis I disorders. In addition, the Clinical Associate will be expected to become competent in Motivational Interviewing and will learn to use MI effectively in conjunction with cognitive behavioral therapy.

The position will involve primarily individual therapy, however, there will also be opportunities to engage in adult substance use treatment groups or to create a new group, in addition to potential opportunities to supervise psychiatric residents, interns, and practicum students. Further, Duke University has many possibilities for intellectual enrichment via lectures, weekly grand rounds, and other continuing education opportunities.

Stipend will be $43,000 for the first year and $46,000 for the second year, plus a generous benefit package. The position begins July 1st, however, the start date is flexible.

Qualifications:
• PhD or PsyD degree from an APA-accredited program in clinical psychology.
• Successful completion of APA-accredited internship program.
