The Borderline Personality Disorder Clinic at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) located at the 33 Russell Street, is currently seeking to fill a 1 year (possibly 2 year) post doctoral-fellowship beginning in September, 2015 Qualified candidates will have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and will have completed appropriate course work and internship training in clinical psychology. The fellow will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and effective communication as well as complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.
The fellowship will emphasize training in clinical research in the area of treatment of borderline personality disorder. It’s expected that the fellow will contribute to the coordination of a large multi-site Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) funded multisite DBT treatment trial that aims to examine the clinical and cost effectiveness of six months of standard DBT compared to the empirically supported one year standard DBT. The successful candidate will gain experience in conducting a clinical trial, clinical assessments, and supervision of clinical students. As well, the fellow will be encouraged to pursue independent research and to present and publish their work. There will be opportunities to engage in clinical work (DBT skills groups, individual therapy, assessments, DBT consultation team), though this is not required. Fellows will be involved in clinic-wide educational meetings, training, and the supervision of psychology students. As well, support for attending scientific meetings (e.g. DBT Strategic Planning Meeting) will be provided. Fellows will be offered quality formal and informal training by psychologists. The post-doctoral fellow would be work under the supervision of Dr. Shelley McMain, Head of the BPD Clinic at CAMH.
CAMH is a teaching hospital and research centre fully affiliated with the University of Toronto. The Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) Clinic at the CAMH provides clinical service for individuals with BPD and a range of psychiatric issues. The BPD Clinic has an active research program focused on psychotherapy research (dialectical behaviour therapy). Our multi-disciplinary team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, post-doctoral fellows, and clinical psychology students.
Requirements: Ph.D. or Psy.D. from APA or CPA accredited graduate program prior to start date; APA or CPA accredited pre-doctoral internship; experience and training in clinical research and DBT; a strong interest in working with multi-problem clients. Experience and training in clinical research, BPD and DBT is considered an asset.
This position has an annual full-time stipend of $50,000. Two weeks of vacation as well as time for professional development will be granted

The Integrated Care Pathways (ICP) Program at CAMH, located primarily at 1001 Queen Street West in Toronto, is currently seeking to fill a 1 year post-doctoral clinical fellowship focused on treatment development, implementation and enhancing best-practice in the treatment of concurrent disorders, beginning in May 2015.
The ICP MDDAD has a treatment model that includes pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. The therapeutic interventions include motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and relapse prevention.
This post-doctoral fellowship will emphasize training in, and implementation of, client-centered best practice in the largest mental health facility in Canada, with a particular emphasis on the treatment of alcohol dependence and major depressive disorder through cognitive behavioural interventions. The primary role will be to assist the development, delivery, and dissemination of the non-pharmacological intervention within 8 other health facilities (including Academic Health Science Centres, Community Hospitals and Family Health Teams). The development component will comprise of developing group therapy options as well as training and education for non-psychologists in the therapy manual. Fellows will be provided with quality formal and informal supervision by licensed psychologists. The delivery component will comprise 1 to 2 days per week providing individual and/or group clinical services through the ICP MDDAD program. In addition, fellows will have access to didactic opportunities, such as through attendance at weekly grand rounds.
Qualified candidates will have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from a program accredited by the CPA and will have completed graduate course work and practicum or internship training in psychotherapeutic interventions for individuals suffering with Addictions and Mental Health. Prior training in CBT and strong clinical skills are necessary qualifications, and previous experience in program development and evaluation of clinical interventions is a definite asset. Previous experience in providing clinical training and supervision is not required, but would similarly be an asset. Liberty Healthcare, Rushville, IL, USA - 1 clinical post-doctoral fellowship in psychology
CLINICAL POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN PSYCHOLOGY
Liberty Healthcare and the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) are offering three Post-Doctoral Fellowships for the 2015-2016 training year at the IDHS Treatment and Detention Facility (TDF) in Rushville, IL. In our APPIC member program. The TDF houses approximately 550 adult male residents in a maximum-security inpatient treatment facility. The Residents are sexual offenders who have been civilly committed or detained under Illinois’ Sexually Violent Persons Act.
Clinical duties include: Co-facilitating Sex Offender specific group treatment (approximately 15 hours per week), managing a primary caseload of approximately 14 residents, including treatment planning and case conceptualizing, and completing a minimum of six psychological batteries. All Fellows also receive a minimum of two hours of licensed supervision each week, one from the Director of Training & Research and another from a Licensed Psychologist on staff.
Our program offers extensive training in working with civilly committed sexual offenders. Interns engage in a two week orientation to the program and them a minimum of one week observing therapy groups before co-facilitating a group. In addition all groups that Fellows are involved with are co-facilitated with a seasoned therapist throughout the year. Experience with sexual offenders is not necessary for being a Fellow in our program. Further, experience with the Rorschach is preferred, but it is not necessary to be a Fellow in our program. Medical insurance is available with a premium paid by the Fellow.

- Intensive group treatment of Sexually Violent Persons. Liberty Health Care utilizes a co-therapist model of research-driven, cognitive behavioral treatment for sexual offending. Fellows will have the opportunity to learn sexual offender treatment utilizing live supervision and mentor-ship from experienced sexual offender treatment clinicians.
- Primary therapist responsibilities with sexual offender population including individualized treatment planning and support.
- Administering, scoring and interpreting psychological tests and writing comprehensive psychological evaluations for offenders entering sex-offender treatment.
- Monthly all-staff case conferences and group training in sexual offender treatment.
