The Massachusetts Treatment Center is a medium-security prison located within the Bridgewater Correctional Complex and is a unique facility due to having a population of civilly committed Sexually Dangerous Persons as well as state prison inmates identified as sexual offenders. Each population is located within separate areas of the facility.
The MTC Fellowship is a 1-year, full-time position. Fellows are required to work 40 hours per week and will be provided with at least 2.5 hours of supervision per week by licensed psychologists. By the end of the fellowship year, fellows will have completed 2,000 training hours. Depending on the track selected by the fellow, as well as the fellow’s clinical interests, the fellow will be involved in the direct provision of forensic/correctional psychological services for 25% to 45% of the fellow’s training hours. Fellows will also attend two weekly didactic seminars. The forensic seminar is dedicated to relevant case law and legal statutes.

We anticipate at least one additional opening for a postdoctoral fellow for the 2013-2014 training year. The stipend will be $43,000.
