The mission of UCLA TIES for Families is to improve outcomes for foster children with special needs who are or will be in adoptive placement. Clinicians provide treatment and comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and their resource/adoptive families within an interdisciplinary team while consulting with child welfare workers. There are also opportunities to engage in research as well as to supervise psychology externs.
Postdoctoral fellows provide the following services to children and families:
• Individual and family treatment utilizing evidence-based approaches
• Group therapy, aimed at fostering attachment and better supporting both children and families adjusting to the specific circumstances of adoptive placement.
• Involvement in the Infant Mental Health program, including developmental assessments, home visiting, and parent-infant support groups
• Participation in clinical trial of ADAPT, a manualized adoption-specific intervention for older children being adopted from foster care and their parents

The Post-Doctoral Residency in Clinical Neuropsychology at Florida Hospital is a 2 year training program designed to meet Houston Conference guidelines for advanced training in Clinical Neuropsychology. The program will provide the resident with advanced training in the principles and practice of neuropsychology through a combination of didactic and educational experiences, extensive direct patient contact, and individual supervision. Residents will also have the opportunity to learn supervisory techniques and participate in supervision of practicum students. The Pediatric Neuropsychology resident will be part of the Medical Psychology Group, which is rapidly expanding and currently includes 4 full time neuropsychologists, 1 part-time neuropsychologist, 2 post-doctoral residents, and 1 full time clinical health psychologist. University of California, Davis Health System, Sacramento, CA, USA - 3 postdoctoral fellowships (1 Adult/ 2 Child positions)
Our program provides advanced clinical training opportunities at three Sacramento County Divisions of Mental Health clinical programs affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry: an adult inpatient psychiatric hospital, an adult outpatient clinic, and a children's outpatient clinic. For the 2012-2013 academic year, the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is pleased to announce three openings for postdoctoral clinical fellows beginning September 4, 2012 and ending August 31, 2013. This residency is based primarily within Primary Care and integrates with the Patient-Centered Medical Home care model. The postdoctoral residency consists of a combination of year-long required assignments and briefer rotations, generally lasting 4 months each, some required and some elective. The resident has the opportunity to extend one or more rotations if that area represents a major interest. Responsibilities will include evaluation and assessment; individual and group therapies; team participation and consultation; didactics; teaching and supervision; and a year-long residency project.

Two to three full-time post-graduate residency positions are available beginning August 13, 2012 and ending May 24, 2013.
The residency is for the academic year, with the usual academic breaks. Residents will be responsible for providing: (a) short term individual, couples, and group therapy; (b) assessment and referral services; (c) crisis intervention and on-call services; (d) outreach programming; and (e) psychological consultation to the campus community. Residents will also have involvement in training and mentorship of master’s level practicum students through Humboldt State University’s Counseling and / or Social Work program. Residents will receive both individual and group supervision commensurate with the requirements for licensure. Qualifications and Stipend The applicant must have completed a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology, or a master's degree in counseling or clinical psychology (e.g., leading toward licensure as an MFT) or in social work (leading to the LCSW). The degree must come from a regionally accredited institution of higher education or an APA/CPA-accredited program and pre-doctoral internship meeting APPIC (Association for Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers) standards as CAPS is a member of APPIC. Interest and experience serving multicultural populations is highly desirable.
Applicants with interest, training and experience in the area of alcohol and drug abuse and/or crisis intervention are also particularly encouraged to apply. HSU has a national reputation for academic excellence, especially in the sciences. CAPS is housed in the Health and Counseling building on campus. Each resident will have a private office, with computer and internet access, and a video camera for supervision. The counseling facility includes a group room, a professional library, and a staff kitchen. CAPS consists of six professional therapists working as a team. Peer consultation is emphasized and constantly utilized in a supportive and collegial atmosphere. The staff is especially interested in residents who will support this type of work environment. Residents will engage in both formal and informal supervisory contact with all professional staff. In addition to supervision, residents will participate in our weekly case conference and training seminar. Professionals at CAPS represent a range of theoretical orientations.

The residency is for the academic year, with the usual academic breaks. Residents will be responsible for providing: (a) short term individual, couples, and group therapy; (b) assessment and referral services; (c) crisis intervention and on-call services; (d) outreach programming; and (e) psychological consultation to the campus community. Residents will also have involvement in training and mentorship of master’s level practicum students through Humboldt State University’s Counseling and / or Social Work program. Residents will receive both individual and group supervision commensurate with the requirements for licensure. Qualifications and Stipend The applicant must have completed a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology, or a master's degree in counseling or clinical psychology (e.g., leading toward licensure as an MFT) or in social work (leading to the LCSW). The degree must come from a regionally accredited institution of higher education or an APA/CPA-accredited program and pre-doctoral internship meeting APPIC (Association for Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers) standards as CAPS is a member of APPIC. Interest and experience serving multicultural populations is highly desirable.
Applicants with interest, training and experience in the area of alcohol and drug abuse and/or crisis intervention are also particularly encouraged to apply. The full-time residency carries a minimum stipend of $20,000/postdoc or 18,000/post-master's for the academic year (9 months).This stipend may be increased pending final budgetary approval. Residents have staff privileges on campus (library privileges, access to employee wellness program, etc.), use of the on-campus health center & the added benefit of living in an extraordinarily beautiful place. HSU has a national reputation for academic excellence, especially in the sciences. CAPS is housed in the Health and Counseling building on campus. Each resident will have a private office, with computer and internet access, and a video camera for supervision. The counseling facility includes a group room, a professional library, and a staff kitchen. CAPS consists of six professional therapists working as a team. Peer consultation is emphasized and constantly utilized in a supportive and collegial atmosphere. The staff is especially interested in residents who will support this type of work environment. Residents will engage in both formal and informal supervisory contact with all professional staff. In addition to supervision, residents will participate in our weekly case conference and training seminar. Professionals at CAPS represent a range of theoretical orientations.

The Integrated Center for Child Development (ICCD) is accepting applications for pediatric neuropsychologist post-doctoral fellowships for the upcoming academic year in their Canton and Newton offices.
ICCD is a multi-disciplinary agency in the Boston area providing assessment and intervention for children with learning and developmental disabilities. The group has a large neuropsychology department, masters and doctoral level psychotherapists, a speech and language pathology department, an augmentative communication/assistive technology department, a developmental pediatrician/geneticist, occupational therapy, an educator and tutoring services.
Applicants should have completed an APA-approved doctoral program in psychology and have strong training in clinical pediatric neuropsychology. Additional experience in the assessment of children with developmental disabilities as well as evaluation of preschoolers is desirable but not required.
Duties will primarily include providing diagnostic, neuropsychological evaluations of children with a broad range of learning/developmental issues, but a strong emphasis will be placed on the evaluation of children with developmental disabilities. The exploration of other professional initiatives within the agency will be supported and encouraged. Salary and benefits are competitive. GHSU (formally the Medical College of Georgia) anticipates funding for two full-time postdoctoral fellows interested in heath psychology within an academic health center. Dependent on the final distribution of grant funding:
Position #1 has a focus on HIV/AIDS in regard to mental health, medication adherence, risk reduction, and substance abuse and Position #2 has an emphasis on adjustment to and management of chronic illness with primary experiences in Multiple Sclerosis and HIV. Additional opportunities within other clinics (i.e., oncology) or populations (i.e., pediatric) can be negotiated based on specific needs of the fellow and/or current availability of training experiences. Both positions also emphasize the intersections of diversity issues and health beliefs and practices. The fellowships are approximately 70% clinical and 30% research and administration. The clinical portion of this fellowship will entail providing consultation, assessment, outreach, program development, and individual, family and group therapy to either individuals living with or affected by HIV (position #1) or both HIV and multiple sclerosis populations (position # 2). HIV services will take place in several clinical environments including an infectious disease clinic, outpatient psychiatry, and local public health and community service agencies. MS services take place at the Augusta MS Center (a regional MS center treating more than 1500 people living with MS) and an outpatient psychiatry clinic. In both positions, the fellow will function as part of multidisciplinary treatment teams of psychologists, physicians, physician assistants, psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers. In addition, the fellow will provide some supervision to psychology interns from our APA internship and to GHSU medical students. The research portion of the fellowship will entail collaborative health psychology research that may include participation on existing research projects and the development of new programs of research. The administration portion of the fellowship will include assisting in grants development and management. By the beginning of the fellowship year, the applicant will have completed an APA-approved doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology and an APA-approved pre-doctoral internship program. Experience working with chronically ill individuals or experience in medical settings is strongly preferred.
Annual starting salary is expected to be $42,000, plus conference travel reimbursement, health insurance, and retirement. The anticipated start date of both positions is flexible and based on candidates needs but should fall between July 1 and September 1, 2012. Licensure supervision will be provided. A second year of fellowship may be negotiated pending available funding and preference is given to those open to completing a second year.
